If presented with the opportunity to get a message to a large group of people, what would your message be? Is it possible to lie without saying a word? #smed12

Testing 1, 2

Empower yourself with knowledge and education and learn to love yourself.  We complain about our circumstances but when will we have the courage to do something about it. Life is not easy, but it’s worth it.

So step up and step out empower yourself with knowledge because no one else will.
There are many opportunities out there so start believing in yourself and love yourself regardless of your faults and mistakes that were made in the past.

We live our life by pleasing everyone, it’s like we want to explain ourself to be accepted in society. How about living your own life. Helping others and making a difference.

Every one has different strengths and weaknesses. But stay focused and accomplish your goals. You must have a mission in life.

Lear and progress thereafter you will make success....

How old would you be if you didn’t know how old you are #smed12

How old would you be if you didn’t know how old you are?

If I didn’t know how old I was I would say I’m 21. They say you are as old as you feel so there you have it!  I’m 21 and a bit! The energy and passion for life while experiencing new things. I think I’m talking about my social life!

Twenty one has always been the cool age. The fun, party and care free age. It’s the age you can’t wait for the grown up age as many would say. 21 Means you’re an adult! But as soon as you’ve reached that age you realise that your whole life has changed, your priorities and your responsibilities.

As much I as I would like to believe I’m still 21. There are many days when I’ve had a demanding week at work, deadlines and a hectic weekend of party I’m convinced I feel fifty on a Monday morning.

But on a Tuesday I’m back to being 21 lol

Of all the forms of courage the ability to laugh is the most #smed12

Of all the forms of courage the ability to laugh is the most...

Laughing is fun it sets you free. It’s the best when you are laughing with someone it’s as if it binds people together with happiness. I have more energy when I laugh it really lifts my spirits. The power of laughter is therapeutic it reliefs stress and it’s very calming and relaxing.

Many people don’t laugh much I don’t know how they do that. A smile is the first step towards laughter.  It reminds me of the hymn “smile a while and give you face a rest”. I’m so happy when I sing that verse.

Usually when I have a bad day it’s just great when my fiancé tries to cheer me up with his silly jokes.  I always pretend that he is not funny but before I know it I burst out with laughter. Then I feel much better afterwards.

The best is when you laughing that much that you start crying. Those tear of joy it makes me feel like my heart is healed with the sadness that fades away. I believe that laughter is indeed the best medicine!

“A day without laughter is a day wasted”. Charlie Chaplin

The statute of limitations has expired on most of our childhood trauma #smed12

Remembering my childhood days, fond memories looking back but I prefer not to be stuck on what happened. Every experience in your past has made a difference in your life today. Most of us have changed since our childhood days we are wiser and more assertive.

Irrespective of the circumstances you encountered in your childhood, that doesn’t matter anymore. Change the essence of your life by living for the present. This will help you move forward. Each of us has a different story to tell. Some stories are more traumatic than others. So letting go of your childhood is easier said than done.

The past tends to cloud our vision and we forget to make the most of what we have. You should remember that you have the power to control your future. To achieve your childhood dreams.

Life can be tough, things will happen but never give up on life. Tell your story maybe it can help others that are facing the same thing.

Always be the best you can be, let go, look forward …..

Only Bad things happen quickly #smed12

We should focus on the positive things, the pleasant things that create joy and happiness in our lives. We often miss the signs of bad things coming our way. Yes, we can’t predict the future and each day we encounter life lessons. But, with all that said when bad things happen suddenly. Everyday we read about bad things happening in our country and society.

I’m thinking of the expression only “good things comes to those who wait”, so that is the opposite of the statement above. I hate it when people say “it’s the peace before the storm”.

That is scary because what is yet to come is so unpredictable. Things I never thought would come my way just creeps up on me, and that happiness turns into sadness.

Therefore you need to make the most of the time you have with your loved ones. Share, help, listen, pray and guide others. You never know what the future holds.

Be Bold and mighty forces will come to your aid #smed12

Be bold, and have confidence! Unfortunately  it’s easier said than done. As we overcome certain obstacles in our lives we become strong. We then have the strength to face the world without fear. Our boldness enables us to help others.

We forget that we are in charge of our thoughts and actions. We should learn from our experiences and take the positive from that and move on. This will help us make a difference at home at tech or at work.

I’ve had several instances where I have ideas but I’m not bold enough to share them with others. Some people don’t like standing out, they prefer to blend in with the crowd. I guess it’s safer option.

This expression means that we should be bold,  and take a stand for what we believe in. We should not hide behind our fears. Therefore live, create, participate and innovate.

If not now then when? #smed12

If not now then when

I agree if it’s not the right time now, will it ever be? We are scared to take chances. We postpone and then we never get to do the things we planned to do.

It’s best to live for the present. I remember when I applied to study PR part-time. So many people told me I’m crazy to work and study part-time. I believed that if I didn’t do it then I would always come up with excuses in the future. I didn’t know how I would get home at night after class, but i enrolled to study part-time. I forced myself to have faith that everything would work out. I took a chance and I’m in my final year B.tech Public Relations.

We focus on the reasons why we can’t do things, before we have listed the reasons why we can. We underestimate our capabilities.

We need to live for the present and plan for the future. So if not now… then when!

My Favourite cat in the hat book is Fox in Socks Because #smed12

My favourite cat in the hat book? ........ it's funny because.....

I’ve never read any cat in the hat books when i was a child. I don’t remember reading it as a child. I had other interesting hobbies like, swimming, dancing and hiking. I preferred the out doors than being stuck indoors reading a book.

I do know that Dr. Seuss has a classic collection of these children’s books.  Hop on Pop and There is a wocket in my pocket. It has stories about these crazy characters taking you on this awesome journey far away. The books are filled with colourful pictures.

I read one of the books to my nephew. Fox in Socks it’s a very funny book of a crazy fox that is trying to teach tongue twisters. It’s such a humerous book and great for children to read.  The Rhymes are perfect it’s very entertaining. I had so much fun reading the book. So i guess that's my favourite book.

I missed the Dr.Seuss era

Why I have conversations? #smed12

Why i have conversations......

Picture: http://www.legacyofhope.ca/projects/1000-conversations
Ever heard of the saying “talk is cheap” but meaningful conversations are crucial. It helps you connect with others when you are talking and listening to them.

I gain knowledge and understanding from these conversations. It’s great to initiate conversations with various topics whether it is a silly comment or debate. This conversation can bring you closer to the next person.

The best part of having conversations are when you can share your opinion, knowledge insights, experiences and ideas with others. It’s called freedom of expression a platform to engage with others without necessarily forcing your opinion on them.

I have motivated people through conversations and it’s comforting. What do you do at a function or party where you don’t know anyone? You start a conversation even if you are making small talk just to break the awkward silence……

It’s scary that social networks and technology have changed the whole era of having a proper conversation. We do have conversations but on blackberry, email, our Ipads and on twitter which is very anti-social.

That's why i love having face to face conversations....
